Review #47: Modeselektor - DJ Kicks

After a long break from writing about music, I found my way back through the record DJ-Kicks: Modeselektor. Only a few mixes have stayed with me as long as this one: vivid, unpredictable, and constantly engaging. Modeselektor's DJ-Kicks blends techno, dubstep, dancehall and avant-pop into a dynamic, bass-heavy mix full of surprising contrasts and transitions.

Mood Swings is the point at which the mix becomes truly impossible to resist.
